Pre-operative

  • Inform us immediately if you experience any changes in your health, such as a cold, fever, or infection, before the surgery
  • Have breakfast or lunch before the procedure
  • Arrive at the surgical facility at least 15 minutes before your scheduled procedure to complete any necessary paperwork and pre-operative assessments
  • Please inform us of any allergies or medication you are currently taking, and take only medications approved by your doctor on the day of surgery. If you have been prescribed antibiotics or other pre-operative medications, take them as directed
  • Make sure you understand and have arranged for the necessary post-operative care and support at home, including preparation for a soft-food diet for the next couple of days

  • Inform us immediately if you experience any changes in your health, such as a cold, fever, or infection, before the surgery
  • Do not eat or drink for at least 6 hours before your surgery, unless otherwise instructed by your surgeon. Little sips of water are allowed until 2 hours before the surgery
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and avoid wearing jewelry, makeup, nail polish, or contact lenses on the day of surgery
  • Arrange for a responsible adult to accompany you to and from the surgical facility. You will not be allowed to drive yourself home after the procedure due to the effects of anaesthesia
  • Arrive at the surgical facility at least 15 minutes before your scheduled procedure to complete any necessary paperwork and pre-operative assessments
